I had a few pedals on my board for fuzz and dirt and I didn't really bond with them too much. Out of curiosity I threw my Bad Monkey on my board and was very pleasantly surprised! Sounds great and I love the fact that it has a low eq knob so you can really dial in that low end. I think I made a mistake putting it behind my Bass Driver, though.

I had a question about the Bad Monkey schematic here. I've been looking at schematics of pedals that I'd like to try out, and this was on the list. I can tell it's a bit more complicated than a standard boost pedal, and I can appreciate that at my non-existent skill level.

The Bad Monkey REALLY sounds like a vintage TS-808; a lot of the modern T-S type pedals have upped the maximum dirt available way beyond that of the original Tube Screamer, if that’s what you want; look elsewhere. The Bad Monkey actually provides just a tad LESS available “distortion” than an original TS-808.
